John took office in January 2006. He was selected from several candidates to fill a vacant position due to resignation. He then ran in the following election and won the seat for the remainder of the term. John decided to enter local politics after he retired from Allegheny Lundlum Steel after 28 years of service. He has taken on a very active role in the community since his retirement. He serves on the Butler Freeport Trail Council and is an active member of the Free Mason and the Shriners. John was appointed to Buffalo Township Municipal Authority in 2008 and is currently serving a 4 year term. John and his wife Jackie in Buffalo Township for 15 years, but grew up in next store in Freeport. John served his country in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. Contact John
